Copy an image from GIMP, and then paste the image someplace not near the end of
the document. Yesterday, I was trying to paste images around page 500, and it
jumped me to the end (around page 660), very annoying. 

My workflow to avoid the problem when I want to paste many images is to paste
them at the end of the document, anchor them as a character, then copy them all
at once and paste them about where I want them. One important thing to note is
that I do not see the problem when I copy an image from Write and then paste it
back into write (well, I don't think that I do and I cannot test from the
machine I am using now).

Most of my images are screen shots taken with GIMP that I copy out of GIMP. I
don't remember if this also occurs if I copy an image from DRAW or by right
clicking on a graphic on a web page. 

I use Linux, so no comment on if this is a problem on Windows. 

I can't help but wonder if this is related to bug 50867 or 121443
