If you apply mirrored margins to the Page Style pages following each other will typically have different margin values. It is not intended to 'align' the page body areas with each other. Instead the centers of the pages are aligned - in case the page have the same width this 'aligns' the left and the right edges with each other. Do not think it make sense to 'align' the left edge of the page body area with each other. This is not a defect. It might be an enhancement request, but not from my point of view.
