A file containing the hidden ' in A1. Try searching for this character and it
cannot be found.

In OpenOffice Calc create a new spreadsheet.
Insert: '123456789
-- into column A.

Then try to use find and replace, or any clean or substitute fomula to remove
this symbol/character. The apostrophe cannot be removed. I have found one work
around to be: =A1+0 into column B, however this was not the expected result.

It would be nice if OpenOffice could detect and remove this symbol by default
Find & Replace window. Especially when there's several thousand rows & lines of
it. Or remove the character when Format Cells >> User-defined >> 000000000 is
set.
