This bug was tested Apache OpenOffice v4.0 running in windows 7 and XP. It
appears that AOO loses formatting when importing MS .pptx files. I have
attached an example.
Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. Download pptx file from:
https://skydrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=9FBE63963526EB25!411&app=PowerPoint&authkey=!AN5Q_kKPvn2eWUQ
2. Open Contoso-Presentation.pptx document in Impress
2. Open Contoso-Presentation.pptx document in PowerPoint 2007/Office 365
3. Compare the documents.
Note that the bottom right page numbers 1, 2, and 3 are right justified, but
AOO incorrectly puts the numbers on the left side. If you use MSO to save as a
.ppt file, the AOO .ppt importer will correctly put the page numbers on the
right.
