Tried opening two different existing files. Both were created/editing using the
latest AOO OpenOffice.org 3.4.1 AOO341m1(Build:9593). One file had a ".doc"
extension, the other an ".odt" extension.
I haven't tried any of the other components or file formats. (not worth my
time)
I have a Macbook Pro 5.1 running Mac OS X 10.8.4 (12E55), 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3,
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
I installed the latest Java from Apple Support to make sure that wasn't the
problem.
I tried three downloads and installations to make sure there wasn't a problem
with the file transfer.
My system reported the crash to Apple each time it happened
Note: I also filed a report (122876) describing problems editing/saving with
AOO 4.x crashing
