Writer reports a read error when attempting to load a particular .doc file.

It loads it happily if read into word 97 and resaved under another name
After attempting to load the file and reporting a read error, a lock file has
been created
This can only be manually deleted
I don't know the source program that created the .doc file I could try to find
out if essential
I have a copy of the resaved file but cannot attach it to this report (only one
attachment allowed)
The file attached is not sensitive!!
