Problem noted with Mountain Lion Version (OSX 10.8.4 )and previous versions
(Snow Leopard) of Mac OX as well. Computer is 13" AirBook, 1.8; 4 meg ram
I've been using Open Office Version 3 with no noted issues for quite some time.
Tried to load update of Version 4 and had nothing but problem. The
installation packet file stays on my desktop. Tried to delete and reinstate
several times with the same result.
OpenOffice loads slowly and crashes frequently . . . actually with almost
every attempt with the Word processor.
I am back to using Version 3 at this point fearing loss of documents with no
problems noted.
