a) Hi Edwin, that's wrong. Correct information in all selectors is an
important condition to find possibly related bugs using queries. So it's
definitively not sufficient to state that info in a comment. All selectors and
also Summary always have to be kept up to date, I do that for you here and
modify OS to "WIN-All".

b) I still don't know what the problem here might be, I will tell what I assume
what you and reporter might see as a problem:

1. From AOO Start Center open Attachment 81423 for Bug 123155
2. Click column Heading "A"
   > All column becomes selected (A1:A1048576)
3. Menu 'Data -> Filter -> Standard Filter'
   > Filter Criteria dialog appears
4. Select criteria 'Column A = 10' <ok>
   > Rows 10 stays visible
5. Click '-' Collapse Group Button left from row heading "10"
   > Row 10 become hidden
6. Click '+' Expand Group Button left from row heading "10"
   > Row 10 become visible

May be you expected that all group 9 ... 13 became visible? Of course that is a
possible assumption, but also it might be intended that Filter has priority? If
you expect that that is a bug it's mandatory to cite some help, other AOO
documentation, technical standards, or at least different behavior of of other
spreadsheet software. I do not see that as a bug. But may be I still do not
understand the problem?

c) BTW, this "grey area at end" thingy is irrelevant. If you apply a filter to
all cells of a column, all empty cells until end become hidden by filter, you
see grey area behind the cells. If you only apply filter for a range A1:A10000
you still see lots of empty cells behind last hidden cell A10000.

d) Comment 2 already said "not reproducible"

e) Because of all these obscurities I close this one as irreproducible, because
until now I did not see any conclusive "does not allow COLLAPSING" bug
description here. If you think you know such a bug (or If you think the
behavior in 'b' might be a bug) please submit a new bug report with carefully
investigated information due to
<http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/HowToFileIssue>, chances for a fix are much
better if the problem is already comprehensible with original report.
