We need a detailed instruction how to reproduce your problem containing every key press and every mouse click you do during instruction. a) for all further attempts please uninstall old versions before you install b) Try to install after you have renamed your user profile <http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/How_Tos/Handling_the_OpenOffice.org_User_Profile> and the old program folder.
