I am using OpenOffice ver 3.3, OOO330M20 (Build: 9567) on Windows 7 Can't see that this bug is related to other reported bugs, however, there have been some attempts at resolving, but with no success. The work flow to reproduce the defect attachment document was sufficient for me to re-create the issue. My steps taken to reproduce: 1. Opened OpenOffice Writer 2. Typed a few sentences in the document to add some data to it 3. Clicked Insert on the menu bar 4. clicked Section, this opened the section tab 5. Checked the Link box, the File Name box opens 6. Click the search box, to the right of the File Name box, This opens the insert window to select the file for insertion 7. Select a document or file to insert.(Cick insert button) 8. Error message appears, see attachment. Expected to see an error due to executable files cannot be inserted.
