[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #4 from [email protected] --- In trying to replicate your steps Kai, I was a bit unclear as to what the "start center" was and how you selected a .ott file. But with some review and playing around I think I figured it out. Like Oliver I was unable to reproduce your crash with my system set up. I have: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Open Office 3.3.0 (build 9567) HP EliteBook 8440p MS Word 2010 Version 14.0.61.29.5000 Replicating the Report: My steps to recreate this bug were: Create a doc with a page title and save the new doc as a .ott Steps to do this: Open - Open Office On the page that displays after opening center a page title a few lines down from the top Save the document with a .ott (ODF Text Document Template listed under the save as type: From the file save as option on the Navigation Bar Then save the new document as a template that can be reused: File Templates Save The default is My Templates (I also did Presentation Backgrounds) so you just have to name it entering a name in the New Template box Then click "OK" Exit and reopen Open Office Close the open window to the "Home" select Templates (see attached screen shot for help) File Templates Edit Change the All Files (*.*) to be ODF Text Document Template (*.ott) Select your document Document opens on the screen On the tool bar find the icon "page preview" it is the one with a magnifying glass Click on it The page adjusts and does not crash Open Office I compared this to MS Word 2010 When done in MSWord and saved as a .dotx (Microsoft Work Template) it acts like it saves but did not hold that file type. When I Googled it, I found that ott is not an option in Word. Since it does not read it it does not save it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
