Unfortunately, as I mentioned the problem has been intermittent for me so I cannot say specifically how to reproduce it. It happened often enough so that I found an alternate way to create the images I need (using Gimp) which has been working (but not as easily as it would be if OO-Draw were not causing me problems!). I have not tried the development version so I do not know if the problem would persist there.
