I regularly receive an XLXS format file from a company, it is large. Microsoft
Office 2010 opens this file in about 15 seconds. Calc tries to open the file,
gets to about 30% and then progresses no further. Calc is still responding but
there are no signs of activity (no disk activity). XLXS file load performance
is always diabolically slow in Calc but I have not left it running for several
days to see if this file eventually loads!
Fixing this would be great especially since Microsoft have changed office to
not supporting saving XLS format files.
