The paste is instantaneous. UltraVNC has the ability to cut-and-paste across PCs, so a copy on my PC (where OO is open) can be pasted to a document in the UltraVNC remote desktop window, and appear in a document on the other PC. Maybe it's related to that - the need to copy the clipboard to a file (or wherever) to use for the remote PC paste operation.
