--- Comment #4 from jagannath <[email protected]> ---
I am not able to replicate the scenario with the ODP/PPT documents in the
latest versions as requested by the Apache Volunteer

To understand about Slide, Task Pane, templates, I had used the information
from the below mentioned links

https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Getting_Started/Parts_of_the_Impress_window

I had tested with PPT & ODP files in (though it might not matter) and I could
not replicate the scenario
• Windows Vista Home SP1 - 2GB RAM, 32 bit OS (AOO 3.4.1 & MSPP 2007)
• Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 - 4GB RAM, 64 bit OS (AOO 4.0.1 & MSPP 2010)

I executed the following steps(for screen shots please refer the zip file)
1) Opened an existing presentation(.ppt)
a. (Please open any presentation file which supported by your AOO Impress
version)
2) Default View  Slide pane in the Left, Work Space in the middle, Task
Pane in the Right
a. Please refer the screen shot of the Default screen attached below after
the steps
3) Select the Task Pane, Move by Mouse and attach to Slide pane(Drag & Drop)
4) Task Pane sits below or above slide pane depending where the pane is
moved
a. Please refer the screen shots in the below list
i. Task Pane Moved to Slide Pane
5) Side by side locking is also possible
a. Please refer the screen shots in the below list
i. Task & Slide Side by Side
6) Move the Task Pane to original location
7) Select the Slide pane & move to Task Pane side
a. Please refer the screen shots in the below list
i. Slide moved to Task
8) Task & Slide Side by Side
a. Please refer the screen shots in the below list
i. Slide Task Pane Side by side

The above steps are executed in different permutations and the operations could
not replicate the bug mentioned by the original reporter
• Empty Presentation
• ODP presentation
• Existing templates
