There is no boundary on the search bar. When I hold my finger down on a letter
key and fill in the search bar, after about 5 minutes the text in the search
bar goes blank and when I click enter the search bar doesn’t clear itself out
like it should. (See attached document for screenshot of the help search bar I
am talking about)
I discovered this bug on OpenOffice 4.0 -> AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev.
1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29 (Fr, 20 Sep 2013)), using my Windows machine.
The following steps explain the bug I encountered:
These are the steps I took:
1. Open up help menu in OO Writer
2. Put cursor in the search box and hold my finger on the ‘d’ for about 5
minutes. You will see the text box fill up with d’s
3. After about 5 minutes the text goes away and it as if I am typing
nothing. (See attached document for screenshot)
4. Click enter
5. The search bar should clear itself so you can type in a new word but it
doesn’t. You can see that the cursor is still at the end of the search
bar.(See attached document) When I try and type into it doesn’t allow me too.
