contains text documents with numbers of characters
The user data fields that contain information such as First & Last name,
company, street, city, state, etc. acts strangely with large numbers of
characters.
1. Download the attachment provided
2. Open the file 5460.txt and copy all of the characters in the file.
3. Go to Tools>Options>OpenOffice>User Data
4. Paste the copied text into the First Name field.
5. Notice the characters are displayed correctly.
6. Go to the end of the text and add one more character.
7. Notice the text has now disappeared.
8. Hit backspace twice and notice the text now reappears.
>From what I found, the next 2,732 characters after 5,460 also are not
displayed.
9. Clear everything in the First Name field by selecting all and deleting.
10. Open the file 8192.txt and copy all of the characters in the file.
11. Go back to the first name field and paste the newly copied characters.
12. Notice the characters still are not displayed.
13. Go to the end of the text and add one more character.
14. Notice this new character appears, but the previous characters do not
re-appear.
>From what I've found, the next 5,460 characters are displayed after the 8,192
characters.
This pattern continues to occur until the maximum character limit of the field,
which seems to be 65534.
(Included in the attachment is a file with the max character limit and
character limit + 1 for your testing)
This bug occurs for most of the fields under Tools>Options>OpenOffice>User
Data.

Also note, the same pattern of disappearing and appearing text occurs when
viewing File>Properties>General tab 'Created'.
Note, the date created is included in this location as well in the format
"mm/dd/yyyy, hh:mm:ss, ". Also, 'Created' also displays last name. Therefore,
the number of characters pasted into the first name field as done before should
take these other characters into account.
Example:
1. Go to Tools>Options>OpenOffice>User Data
2. Clear everything in the first name field.
3. Type in "Name" in the name field and exit this window.
4. Go to File>Properties>General tab.
5. Press the reset button.
6. Notice the Created data refreshes with a new created date followed by
"Name".
7. Go to Tools>Options>OpenOffice>User Data
8. Clear everything in the first name field.
9. Open the file 5460.txt and copy all of the characters in the file.
10. Paste the copied text into the name field.
11. Close out of this window and go to File>Properties>General tab.
12. Press the reset button.
13. Notice 'Created' is now blank.
