--- Comment #4 from Regina Henschel <[email protected]> ---
The issue is still not clear. Your first post describes copying from AutoCAD,
and pasting into Draw. Now you write about copying from Draw, and pasting into
MS Word. That are very different actions. In the first case AutoCAD is the
source, and Draw is the target and in the second case AOO is the source and MS
Word is the target.

For MS Word the solution is easy. AOO puts the content in different kinds into
the clipboard. MS Word is able to read the bitmap format and the enhanced
metafile format. To get high quality, you have to tell MS Word to use the
enhanced metafile format. Therefore in MS Word do not use Ctrl-V, but choose
explicitly which format to take from the clipboard. Apparently MS Word does not
detect the better quality format by itself.

As far as I know, there had been a change in the order in which AOO puts the
different kind of content into the clipboard, so that MS Word might have used
the enhanced metafile by luck, when pasting from older OpenOffice.org versions.

I haven't got AutoCAD. It would be interesting, which kind of formats AutoCAD
puts into the clipboard. That is the source part of the transfer. Please use
the drop-down-list from the paste icon or 'insert special' to see, which
formats AOO detects. That is the target part of the transfer.
