--- Comment #6 from gregmcc <[email protected]> --- At the moment there are two options on the Pull-down menu ( 'Split' and 'Freeze' ) how about a third 'FreezeXXX' When you have a big header section that you want to show - but not all the time and then you have the rest of the table that could do with a row to act as a header - then you the last line of the header section could contain the column headers. This would end up as the best of both worlds - you can see the header section of the spreadsheet ( without having to un-freeze ) and then when you scroll down into the body of the spreadsheet there is a single row ( or a number of rows ) that remain as part of the header. Personally I would change the current 'Freeze' functionality to work as described above - I can't see any loss of usability - i can only see 'Freeze+' as improved functionality I include a spreadsheet 'Freeze_improvement.ods' to give you an idea of what I talking about.
