Preparation: From Writer sample document I saved "C:\Users\user\Desktop\panda.gif" Test: 1. from AOO Start Center open new Writer document 2. Menu 'Insert -> Picture from File -> "C:\Users\user\Desktop\panda.gif" -> Link [Open] > Dancing Panda picture inserted, no problem 3. Save document.odt in an arbitrary path, Exit AOO 4. relaunch AOO 5. reopen document.odt from recent documents As expected picture still shown.
