>From an UI design point the mouse *never* should be moved by the OS or a
program; the mouse-UI-interaction binding effect the user sees is one he is
trusting in; never break that relationship. The muse always has to move when
the user moves it, it never has to be moved automatically.
This is at least what I have learned at the university in the UI department. I
know no successful OS that breaks that rule (Mac does not). Thus, from my POV
it would be more an error if a system moves or snaps the mouse to some UI
elements.
