It's no trouble at all to add ".00%" after a number if you want it there, but it's a royal pain in the posterior to remove it when the program insidiously puts it back. The feature mentioned above is not obvious to anyone who hasn't asked about its existence. Most of your users will get stranded at this point. The out of the box behavior is not what a user would want... And this is not a feature request, it's a bug report.
