I envisioned a solution where the definition of favorites (plural and not single) takes place in Tools - Options... A dedicated icon enables quick selection in open dialog. A favorite folder is offered automatically in save dialog according document keywords in File - Properties... - Description. IMHO open dialog should open only and stay clean and minimal.
