This one is a spin off from "Issue 114434 - XY (Scatter) Chart Labels common
for different Data Series"
Steps how to reproduce with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-dev – English UI
/ German locale - [AOO410m14(Build:9760) - Rev. 1577236 2014-03-15]" on
German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile:
1. Open Attachment 82977 for Issue 114434
2. 'Doubleclick chart "Original Sample" -> Rightclick -> Data Ranges ->
Data Series'
> Dialog appears
3. Click all Data Series "y" one by one and watch 'Data Labels' range
> the same for all different data series
4. Try to modify for first "y" from "$Sheet1.$A$2:$A$16" to
"$Sheet1.$A$2:$A$6" (it's possible)
Expected: Data labels range modified only for this y with X-Values
"$Sheet1.$B$2:$B$6"
Actual: The modification will be valid for all 3 "y" data series,
this difference to inputs for other ranges is not visible in
UI design for this dialog
This limitation is reason for report Issue 114434
Intention for this report:
Caption for Data Labels input should show that the range is common for all data
series (as long as limitation of Issue 114434 does exist)
Suggestion:
Old caption: "Data labels"
New caption: "Common Data labels" or
"Data labels for all data series"
