I would prefer paste unformatted text as the default paste and since this may
be a minority preference, I would like to be able to select it as my default
paste then switch to what you now call normal as a special paste.
The advantage for me is I'm frequently pasting and finding bad formatting so I
have to undo it and select paste special unformatted to get the text into my
default font.
At least this would help until the current default paste gets smarter so it
doesn't mess up so many things.
