I remember that I saw similar problems as shown in document some years ago, not
with OOo but with some other softwar; I failed to associate a file type with
the software, although I associated the file type the old association was not
changed. But I can't remember how that became fixed, this seems to be a problem
limited to reporter's computer.

Currently I can't see anything we can fix here.

Please feel free to reopen this Bug if discussion with other users leaded to an
assessment that we have an AOO bug with a current AOO Version and a clear and
comprehensible description how to reproduce the problem due to above mentioned
