I installed AOO 4.1.0 Beta and a recent build of branch AOO410 (rev. 1587478) - both in language English (US). Both installations were successful and worked as expected. Both applications passed our smoketest. Thus, I am not able to reproduce the described defect. @diamondoverdose: Which version of Windows 8 is running on your system?
