The topic may not explain it the best, but I believe that Edwin Sharp
understands what I am looking for.

I appreciate your suggestion.  I could use this technique, if I was at a
computer using a mouse (or perhaps had a remote mouse), but I am walking around
the room with a presentation remote (just advance, back, and black slide
buttons).  The advantage of using presentation software is that it just
displays the next thing I want shown, instead of my having to coax the scroll
thumb down a bit and perhaps overshoot.
