Issue ID: 124796
Issue Type: PATCH
Summary: List boxes within appearance dialog too small
Product: General
Version: 4.2.0-dev
Hardware: Mac
OS: Mac OSX, 10.9
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: ui
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Listboxes within preferences / OpenOffice / appearance dialog are too small to
display default text "Automatic". This is an issue in particular to Mac OS X
with Lucida Grande system font.
I supplied a patch attached to this bug report.
The current dialog is shown in "Screenshot without patch.png" attached to this
bug report. The affected list boxes are marked with red boxes.
With patch applied the result is shown in "Screenshot with patch.png". The
affected list boxes are marked with red boxes again.
In addition I adjusted the "Custom colors" table to improve it's representation
as well as scrolling behaviour:
(1) Line height has been increased from 15 to 16 units.
(2) Height of preview box has been increased from 12 to 14 units.
(3) Height of table as well as height of scroll bar has been adjusted to fit
adjusted line height.
During scrolling there shouldn't be no lines displayed incompletely any more.
Last but not least dropdown button "Scheme" has been aligned to push button
"Save..." vertically.
I'm able to test on Mac OS X only. The patch has to be retested on Mac OS X,
but it has to be tested on Windows and Linux too.
