          Issue ID: 124866
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Windows 8 Shutdown isn't always prevent by a modified
                    file in OpenOffice.
           Product: General
           Version: 4.1.0
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows 8
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: ui
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

When shutting down OpenOffice, occasionally a modified document doesn't notify
the Windows 8 shutdown sequence that there is a file that is needed to be
saved.

There is a more sever (and continually re-producable) problem associated with
this in that when the shutdown sequence is started, Windows 8 is notified and
the user cancels it, but doesn't return to the desktop (and keeps in the Metro
system), and then shuts down the computer again, Openoffice never informs the
shutdown system to stop, and allows the computer to shutdown.

This means that when the document is re-opened, it has to be recovered.
