But I worked on Windows 7 not 8. Anyway the problem on windows is that normally a 64 bit is used but the office needs a 32 bit Java because AOO is not 64 bit on Windows. With my changes and starting NB with --jdkhome=<path_32_bit_jdk> the component wizard works on Windows 7. Not tested with Windows 8.x.
