I have a new ASUS lalptop with Windows 8.1. I am the"Administrator" and only
user. I have downloaded 'OPENOFFICE" at least 3 times and followed the
inallation steps from 'Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe" which
generates two Icons on my Desktop: a program Icon "OpenOffice 4.1.0' and a file
folder icon 'OpenOffice4.1.0 (en-US) Installation Files.'
The following elements are loaded into the files by
'Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe:
* 'Openoffice 4.1.0 (en-US) Installation Files" contains: Licences, Readmes,
Redist, openoffice1.cab, Openoffice410.msi. setup.exe and setup.init.
* "Program files (89)\Openoffice 4\Program" contains: soffice.exe and
soffice.ini.
When I click the OpenOffice icon nothing happens. I have also have clicked
directly on "soffice.exe' and still nothing happens. No Messages, no nothing.
I need help in solving this problem.
