png of my application form with normal English language
I'm trying to use Spanish language in Mexico on my OpenOffice 4.1 / Win 7 / PC.
The problem is decimal point. When the ES language pack or the ES full system
is installed, the decimal point reverts to European usage i.e. comma is used
for decimal point on my BASE application subform grid using numerical fields,
even though I have selected ES/Mexico as the Locale under
Tools/Options/Language and CHECKED the 'use decimal symbol according to locale'
(not exact translation)
Mexico uses the same number markings as the USA - comma as a thousands
separator, a period mark as the decimal point.
There must be many users in Mexico operating in Spanish - where am I going
wrong?
The attachment is a .png of one of the application forms. When the ES language
is installed all of the numerical fields revert to using a comma instead of the
period for a decimal point. e.g. PESO 3,5
