It's surprising that nothing has been done since 2003 ! Recently, I had repeated crashes when editing equations with AOO410 and AOO411 on Windows Vista 32 bits, with no other debugging information than the message "AOO has stopped because of unexpected error" (see https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124930 ). This problem seems to be linked to my Vista installation as it was not reproducible by other Vista users. As I was unable to find what in my Vista is making AOO410/411 crash because I had no detailed error report, the only solutions for me were to stay on AOO401 or switching to Libre Office. I think it would be a good thing for developers to know what was making AOO410/411 crash in my Vista installation, because AOO401 and the last stable release of Libre Office 426 are working fine, so the AOO41X branch should have introduced some new system requirements or incompatibilities.
