A web page converted to text and saved as MS word DOC
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.1 - Writer
Saving files from Writer to Google Drive with MS Word DOC Format 97/2000/XP as
default results in an error on my iPhone 5 iOS8.1.
Error says the file is the wrong file type – not supported - and offers to
allow selecting a different app.
Opening the file in MS Word 2007 and saving as DOC (97 – 2003) corrects the
problem.
I think it is a MS Word file format problem with Writer when MS Word is the
default save format.
