--- Comment #14 from Swami <[email protected]> --- I solved this problem finally on my computer, using the "troubleshoot compatibility" option. Navigate to soffice.exe. right-click, select "troubleshoot compatibility" Click "try recommended settings". Windows does something. Accept the changes. Now I can open any file by clicking from explorer. While there may still be a compatibility problem with OL and Windows 8, at least I am not suffering from it anymore.
