I was able to reproduce the problem on AOO 4.1.1, Windows 8.1 x64. 

I agree with the reporter that this is not the desired behavior, when users end
a presentation in a particular slide, they often do it to add notes or make
changes. If you start on slide 1, stop on slide 50 and are taken to slide 1, I
see how this could be annoying to users.  

I made a couple of follow-up tests that revealed important information: 
    • I tried the same on Microsoft PowerPoint and it works as expected
(PowerPoint takes you to the slide you were on when you ended the presentation,
and not the first slide by default).
    • I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem on AOO 3.1, so this tells me this
is not a feature but an actual regress bug.
