Issue ID: 125933
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Writer performs excessive pagination passes when
printing a page range
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.1
Hardware: All
OS: Linux32
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: printing
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Writer 4.1.1. When printing a range of pages from a large book manuscript,
Writer performs excessive pagination passes over the document. After an initial
repagination, it then repaginates the document for every click of the page
range dialog box. I upgraded from OOo 3.2 yesterday, the last Sun edition of
Writer, which I have been using since 2010. The excessive pagination looping
doesn't exist there, but it exists in OOo 3.3 and 3.4, and I assume all
subsequent versions of Writer. Note: I did report the issue at the time. The
looping problem also exists on LibreOffice 4.3, but not on Word from Microsoft
Office Premium 2000. Unfortunately, the looping locks up my computer, and I
transfer the document to a M$ system for printing page ranges.
I note that you finally fixed the HTML problems associated with large
manuscripts. Thank you.
Sorry, but I will move back to OOo 3.2, as it doesn't disrupt my work flow.
The starting page numbers were less than 255 (see bugzilla 124032)
