I found the version of directX used at the time this issue was posted and want to see if it will be reproducible then. Tests: Open presentation Play slide show Lock computer via Windows key + ‘L’ Enter password to unlock Result: Unlocks as expected with no black screen. Variations: Tried with a new, template and existing presentation Tried locking while playing slideshow and not playing slideshow Tried with hardware acceleration on and off Tried changing channel on screen Tried with most recent DirectX and the one out at the time of 2010-01-18 All without reproducing the black screen. Variations I was unable to test: A windows XP machine with a different graphics card than NVIDIA. A windows Vista machine.
