I just upgraded my OS to Windows 7 SP1 full version (64 bit)from XP SP3. OO 4.1
was running on my home workstation before, but it won't install on my newly
formatted hard drive. I'm getting this error message: "An error occurred during
the registration of extensions". I ended up installing version 3.1 instead,
which works just fine. That was yesterday. Today I tried again to install
version 4.1 on top of yesterday's ver. 3.1 installation. But, I'm getting the
same error message. I've also tried downloading from different vendors (Apache,
Sourcepoint, etc.) but I get the same results. I have never seen an error like
this before. Any idea what this could be?
