1. Create a new spreadsheet
2. Untick ”Protected” for a few cells (Rightclick a cell → Format cells → Cell
protection)
3. Tools → Protect document → Sheet… → Untick ”Select locked cells” → Let
”Select unlocked cells” stay ticked → OK
Now only those cells in step 2 can be selected. Great.
4. Reload the file (File → Reload) or close it and then open it again.
Now everything can be selected, including protected cells. Not so great… The
protected cells can still not be changed though, which is good, of course.
