If so, please remove them completely, delete all profiles.ini files (eg. ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/profiles.ini and ~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/profiles.ini and other such for Thunderbird etc.), and then try again.
