Open Office Automatically changes my dates from MM/DD/YYYY to MM/DD/YY.

I do not like this. If I am trying to add birthdays to a table in Writer, I
cannot put in the correct date. For example when I put in 01/07/1995 it changes
it to 01/07/95. I don't want it to do that. I want the entire four digit year
in there and not just the last two digits. How can I change this.

I like the features Open office has as far as assuming what I want format wise
but when I don't want what ever format it is trying to use there is no way for
me to change it at least not without tricking it.

HELP!
