Three times I have had a multiparagraph text document that was saved and then
closed and the next time I tried to open it, either pulled up a "how to convert
document" box and gave me the option of Western text or ASCII (stuff like that)
or just simply opened and the document was converted to lines of the pound sign
over and over. I could not find temporary files either of these documents so I
have to recreate them. This has only happened since a) I installed the free
windows 10 update about 5 days ago and b) also uninstalled/reinstalled open
office about 2 days ago (because it was doing the "crash on hitting CTRL-S or
Save As" function that I encounter every few months with open office?).
Getting really frustrated and not sure whether to uninstall Windows 10 or Open
Office 4.1
