Interesting, I know that MacOS on PPC was an officially supported platform. But
FreeBSD on PPC is really unusual and I didn't know this before. Therefore I
think it must be a remaining part of an old attempt to get another port - maybe
from the 1.x or early 2.x days of OffenOffice.

I wouldn't think so far. This doesn't mean we are able to provide help. Maybe
it was the work of one or a handful of people. I'm pretty sure that these are
no longer active in the community as the most are working on Windows, OSX and
Linux with x86 CPU, 1-2 on OS/2, 1-2 with FreeBSD *) and a few on Solaris.

OK, that sounds promising.

*) Because it's FreeBSD maybe you should get in contact with Pedro Giffuni.
Please write a mail to the developers mailing list (see here:
http://openoffice.apache.org/mailing-lists.html#development-mailing-list-public).
It's the better (best) way to get in contact with developers in general when
you have problems with building.
