          Issue ID: 126645
        Issue Type: FEATURE
Summary: Link to external data should support raw XML, JSON and
                    CSV
           Product: Calc
           Version: 4.2.0-dev
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Blocker
          Priority: P5 (lowest)
         Component: open-import
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

I'm running LibreOffice 5 (5.0.3.2).

I've read through the following issues:
Issue 1834
Issue 87178
Issue 91329
Issue 97793
Issue 108469
Issue 122591

In order to support using LibreOffice Calc as a front-end to various web
service data providers, the link to external data should accept raw XML, JSON
and CSV without the requirement for those sources to have "named tables" or
"named ranges".

I recognize that I _can_ download the data to file, and then import it. This is
far from ideal.

As a user I want to be able to have two worksheets, one with data that is
refreshed on-demand, without having to shell out or leave the application, and
one that analyses that data via charts, formulae, conditional formatting or
other spreadsheet tool.

As justification for this use case I can hold out Excel as an example of
software that supports this type of workflow for XML on Windows (and sadly not
on Mac).
