I raised a query here: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=81481 After subsequently finding this bug report, I can confirm that, after building version 1.3.8 of serf.dll under Windows and just replacing it in my current OOO 1.4.2 install, I was able to open WebDAV-hosted files, which I was unable to do with the previous serf.dll version.
