Tools > Options > OpenOffice > Appearance. Scroll to Text Document > Tick
Section boundaries. Set Page and column breaks to Red 3.
This places a thin red line wherever a page break occurs in a text document.
There are many posts in the forum where users cannot get numbering to work.
This is often because they do not realise that numbering is an attribute of the
first paragraph (or table) following a Page Break. When Page breaks are
invisible the user just sees numbers change as though at random.
If AOO is delivered with this setting as default then it will assist users.
