Powerpoint file, two slides

I've noticed this for at least a year...many times, but NOT ALL the time, when
I go to add a picture (via Insert-->Picture) into the slide, it appears within
the text box, instead. This is annoying, DOUBLY so because, when I hit ctrl-z
to get rid of it, it removes the picture, but also removes text formatting
(bold, colour, etc.). I'll include a PPT I was working on where this
happened...

The first slide has no picture inserted, the second does. If you go to the
first slide, then select Insert-->Picture-->From file and select a picture, it
puts the picture in the text box instead of the slide, in general. I'm making
sure to NOT have the text box selected when I do this. If the picture is small,
it will appear tiled within the text box; a larger picture will only be
partially visable.

Thank you

Nathan Elke
