Since I formed a .xsl sheet that did preserve the content of Attachment 84608 and worked with OpenOffice, I used *that* file, in Microsoft Excel 2016, to create an Excel 2003 XML file. *That* Excel XML file opens perfectly in Apache OpenOffice. I have attached it for the information of the original reporter.
